IMRIN SIDHU
- 16 JUNE - 16 JULY, 2022
- CALIFORNIA, MAX MUSEUM
Imrin Sidhu is a Canadian-based contemporary artist who primarily works with acrylic paint and metal leaf alloy on wood or canvas. Through her art, she explores the interaction of opposing elements, such as light and dark, gloss and matte, and smooth and textured surfaces. This tension within her work creates a visually striking and meaningful experience, showcasing the power of opposites to produce impactful art.
ARTISTIC PROCESS

WEST, LONDON MUSEUM
Imrin’s abstract paintings emerge intuitively, guided by a selected color palette and loose composition plan. She allows the painting to evolve naturally, relying on her intuition to guide the creative journey.
Imrin’s Metal Collection employs a unique and self-developed technique. Her goal is to defy metal’s conventional behavior, presenting it as if in a liquid state on canvas. Through a meticulous 14-step process, each piece becomes a distinct and original creation. The metal elements, constantly evolving, interact with the environment and the viewer, prompting contemplation on the meaning of reflection in a captivating manner.
